A new era
Well, well, well; what can one say? In a week we’ve seen the GUM lose almost all power that it had left, Erusia is not only gorn, but have admitted to a massive project masterminded by ‘Robert Lethler’, Sandus is gorn, the OAM has reached its 10,000th forum post after only 6 months and now it looks almost certain that the GUM will merge into the OAM very soon.
If anyone were to come back to MicroWiki now, having left and not looked at it since about mid-2009, it would hardly be recognisable. Only a few of the ‘original’ MicroWiki powers are left: St.Charlie, Slinky Empyre and a smattering of others. Our ‘new era’ in MicroWiki will be characterised by the rise of the multipolar ideal, whereby no one or two micronations hold more influence and power than others, but many more micronations are elevated into this position of power. I can’t predict exactly which micronations will take up this position, but what I can confidently predict is that this new era will involve far fewer conflicts and tensions than previously experienced.
In the past, both left and right factions have seen Erusia and Sandus as the principal instigators of conflict and distrust between the two sides. As expressed quite openly and confidently on the OAM forum, following the publication of ‘Erusian Falshoods’, by numerous members of the right and left, both left and right should use this as an opportunity to co-exist peacefully, without such instances as the ICA-Sandus conflict of recent times. This will also be made easier by the departure of Erusia and Sandus in another way, and that is the weakening of the Left, whether we like it or not. Now there are only a handful of well-known or ‘prominent’ Socialist or Communist micronations: Nemkhavia, A1, PrSR and others.
Although Lethler’s legacy and affects will be felt for some time yet, both Erusia’s and Sandus’s departure from the MicroWiki Community will allow, rather than deny, good opportunities to occur and be taken up. We are almost certainly about to witness the amalgamation of the OAM and GUM, creating an organisation that will rival the membership, usefulness and activity of any other multi-micronational organisation ever created, as well as the challenges that the OAM will face with such a large and diverse active membership base.

With all the respect, do you really think that powerfull micronations would like to give their power to others.A solution that I thought and even try to do it was making a Confederation of many micronations
They do not like to give their power to others, but that’s the way we are heading, in both the micronational and macronational world. In the ‘real world’, the unipolar world dominated by the United States is coming to an end, and we will see a multipolar world within the next 30-40 years or so, with the European Union, China, India & perhaps Brazil or even Russia, finding their places as global superpowers. The same is happening here in MicroWiki.
A confederation of micronations has been tried about 10,000 times before, and every attempt has failed miserably.
