MoJ given constitution assignment

Meeting the press this morning after his first working week in office; the nation’s first Attorney-General, Chris Pendergast, has addressed several concerns and confirmed some new responsibilities of the newly founded Ministry of Justice.
Priority one was addressing the concerns held by many about the progress of the upcoming Legal Reforms to which the following questions were asked;
“Attorney-General, what is the anticipated date of the said reforms following the delay from the originally scheduled date of Wednesday this week?”
“At the Present stage no new date is being given by the Ministry only that said reforms will be completed by the end of this government’s term.”
“Why did said delays occur?”
“Unforeseen non-micronational issues affected the operating capacity of the Ministry during this week, following these issues it was decided by myself and several other members that the issues combined with the current activity in the chamber over financial reform would make it impractical to push forward the legislation as planned.”
“Do you anticipate any further delays to this legislation?”
“I assure you that the system will be operational as required by the end of our term?”
“Has any progress been made?”
“Absolutely, it’s more drafting the legislation itself where the delay is, once that is done we are prepared with the legal system to move into action.”
“What of the law enforcement agency?”
“Information regarding this was requested in Cabinet by the Cirrus Party as well, the creation of this service is well under way. We have the right people on-board and this is one area where we are definitely ready to go when required.”
“Is it therefore possible that such an agency will be launched before the reforms?”
“Yes, possibly, it depends.”

Along with the press conference a formal release by the Ministry occurred confirming that the responsibility for putting the new constitution together had been taken on by the Ministry and that it will be worked on, time permitting, over the weekend.
