New Republic Established in A1
The eighth republic to be established in the Federated Republics, the Republic of Kinsovea, has been approved today following the request by the former Kingdom for admittance into A1.
The Kinsovean Government had made the request earlier this month, and delays in Parliament slowed its approval to today’s afternoon.
After approval by Parliament over the acceptance of the Kingdom’s request, the First Secretary signed the Republic Agreement today that brought Kinsovea into A1 as the sixth current Republic in the federation.
Being located in the American region of New England, the new republic is the furthest from Melbourne, Australia, the original home of A1. It is also now one of two Republics in the United States, the other being Prsänëa, and the only one on the American eastern coast.
Additionally, it has been told by the new republic that the contest for the Kinsovean seat in the Chamber of Electorates will be between the former King, Adam Smith, and his sister. Reports say that there are seven citizens in the Republic, five of which are likely to vote.
Minister for Public and Government Services, Sir Philip Fish, mentioned to the Republic that Kinsovea ”will be the first recipients of the ‘New Republic Package’ that I’ve been developing for the past few months, which should make the setting up of your new republic as easy as possible.”
First Secretary James Wilary stated in response, ”Congratulations to the new Republic, and hopes for the future! I will enjoy to see that Kinsovea becomes another vibrant member of A1.”
