Storm sweeps Acacia

One of the most violent and spectacular storms in many years swept across the Republic of Acacia last night, with three strong cold fronts hitting the republic within a matter of hours.

Over 30mm of rain fell in just 20 minutes in some areas to the south of Acacia, and much flood and tree damage was also reported across the city of Melbourne.

Acacia was left unscathed with no damage reported in the Republic.

Premier of Acacia, Sir. Philip Fish, said that it was an exciting time.

“The first storm hit at around dinnertime so we had a spectacular view of the incoming squall clouds from our window”, he said.

“There was severe windshear and air convergence right above my house which turned the sky into something resembling a witch’s cauldron”.

While severe thunderstorms are not normally uncommon in Melbourne, the recently broken 11-year drought had seen a notable decrease in severe thunderstorm activity, with many children growing up never having seen one.

The weather is expected to ease off today, with a few showers predicted.
