Foundation Party to withdraw support for Cirrus Party

In an open letter to the Cirrus Party, the Cooriengah-based Foundation Party have stated their intention to withdraw their support for the Mars McTavish-led and Lichthalzen-based Cirrus Party at the recently announced November 2011 Election.

In the letter, the Party President, James Lord, and Party Leader and current Premier of Cooriengah, Sam Corby, said that following recent discussions within the party, they will be “…changing our [Foundation Party's] choice of support for the upcoming November 2011 Elections to the Socialist Party of A1″.

The letter also expressed the Party’s belief that “…a change in government to the Socialist Party may bring new prospects for the nation”.

The incumbent Cirrus Party, which has been in government since the Federated Republics of A1 was established, has suffered recently from inactivity, with only one its MPs participating in Parliament.

Cirrus Party Deputy Leader and First Secretary of A1, Sir. Philip Fish, said that there were “…absolutely no ill-feelings whatsoever”.

“Although I am a member of the Cirrus Party, I do my best to be impartial and vote along my own rather than Party lines”.

In a similar open letter sent to the Socialist Party of A1, the Foundation Party’s leaders expressed similar concerns and plans.

The two letters may be read here (to the Cirrus Party) and here (to the Socialist Party).
