McTavish named Field Marshal, other defence appointments

Prime Minister Mars McTavish has been named as Field Marshal and chief of the newly created Pontus Defence Forces, for A1′s claimed territory on Micras.

In a string of other appointments by A1 Defence Force Chief, GOC James Wilary, First Secretary, Sir. Philip Fish, has been named Admiral of the Pontus Navy and Wilary as Air Marshall of the Pontus Air Force.

In the fictional world of Micras, where Pontus is set to be located, each active citizen who chooses to participate in the military and posts at least once every three days on the nation’s forum, grants 25,000 points to be used for whichever branch they join.

These points are ‘spent’ on acquiring items for that branch. These may include ships, soldiers or aircraft.

The exact composition of each branch is still being constructed by each respective head, and it is predicted that the army will make up the largest branch of the Pontus military, due to Lichthalzen’s population.

Sir. Fish said that he very much looked forward to commanding the navy.

“I’ve held an interest in naval warfare throughout the ages, so this is a great and fun opportunity for me”, he said.
